MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 9.85 points to 1,537.80.

Volume was 4.388 billion lots worth RM3.337 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 530 to 458.
