MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 8.16 points to 1,594.59.

Volume was 2 billion lots worth RM1.6 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 447 to 318.
