Singapore shares close up by 0.14% on Tuesday
THE Singapore stock market was flat again on Tuesday, in the absence of clear market leads.
The Straits Times Index edged higher by 5.02 points, or 0.14 per cent, to 3,584.56.
On the bourse, 1.49 billion shares worth S$1.22 billion were traded, and losers beat gainers 246 to 187.
Thai Beverage helped to keep the index afloat, putting on S$0.07, or 8.7 per cent, to S$0.875. With a movement of 89.31 million shares, the counter was the day's second-most heavily traded.
Otherwise, Ezion Holdings topped the actives list again on a volume of 90.02 million shares. It was down by 1.2 Singapore cents, or 7.06 per cent, to 15.8 Singapore cents.
