IN THIS era of rabid self-promotion, you wonder why one would glorify one’s own shortcomings the way that Small Tables does. Self-deprecation has its merits, but we can’t fathom how any restaurant with tiny eating surfaces can be a good thing. A table for two here is so small, only a medium-sized poodle that brings its own supper dish might consider it spacious.
